When I recently had a dental emergency and my regular dentist was unable to fit me in for an urgent appointment, I decided to walk in to Eglinton Oak Dental. I am so glad that I did. Within 5 minutes, I was sitting in the dental chair, getting X-rays with Dr Isra doing everything she could to figure out what was causing my pain. When I left the office with a prescription, I thought that was the end. Instead, I received calls through the evening and in to the next day from her staff, checking in on me to see how I was doing and if the antibiotics she prescribed were helping. We ended up having the damaged tooth removed. This procedure was done on site and performed by Dr. Falak. She was amazing. She explained in full detail what she was going to be doing in terms that I fully understood. During the removal, she was constantly checking to make sure I was ok. When it was done, she explained in full detail what I should do to prevent any issues and infections. The entire team genuinely cared about my well being. From the office manager, Raghad, to the dental assistants to Dr Isra, Dr. Falak and everyone else there, I received first class care. Your help during this difficult time is appreciated more than you will ever know. Thanks you so much for being so caring, helpful and just welcoming from the very beginning. Really bad experience, nurse made me wait 40mins for this appointment. I came here for solely cavity exam, but they charged me full exam price as $157 for paying out of pocket. The doctor checked cavity for less than 10mins and it didn’t show me or explain where the cavities are and my diagnosis. All cost with 2 bitewing and 3 peripheral x-rays is $258. They urged me to pay when they didn’t even show me the following dental plan and the receipt. I had to come back at that day and ask if they can sent it to me. Nurses, receptionists and doctor speak other languages in front of you. I am a new immigrant with no insurance, later back home I checked 5 more dental offices, they quote range from $110 to $130max.
